l can only think of Barbie and Bratz. l need just one more. What other toys/dolls are known for controversy because of what they expose to kids? Thanks!

What 3 toys/dolls might be problematic because of their messages to children? And why?

I think those two r great examples.

However, some feminist groups feel that baby dolls can send the wrong message to little girls. They feel that baby dolls encourage girls to think that they should simply become mothers when they grow up, & that it is wrong to encourage young girls to ''practice'' being mothers, that it gives them a false sense of the real responsibilities of motherhood.

However, American Girl (which I LOVE), encourages girls to *be* girls. However, their price ($95 for a doll, $24+ for an outfit) does create controversy with parents & people think that the company encourages girls to be materialistic. Owning an American Girl doll can be seen as a ''status symbol'' among girls.

Granted, when they first came out when I was a kid, they were the Rolls Royce of dolls, & they were based on historic themes & were an educational toy. That is changed, & they're more like a larger-sized Barbie doll-type (they r owned by Mattel now), & there is a line of modern dolls catered to be ''just like you''.

The Fisher Price Little Mommy Doll. It talks and says something about Islam. I think the doll says, ''Islam is the light.''
